Mostly because uploading pictures takes forever.
And I have a lot of pictures.
Maybe I'll be better at blogging when I'm back in the States.
But I got on a train to Osaka after last time I blogged.
Got to Osaka.
Met up with Amy.
Got a little lost.
Apparently we ended up in a dodgey part of town.
Ran into this Taiwanese guys that roomed with Will.
It's crazy because I met him one in Kyoto.
Then met him again in Osaka.
Small world.
He joined us for lunch.
Had curry.
I was starving.
After our meal we parted ways.
Exchanged Facebook information.
Amy and I found the way to the main road.
Got to a famous part of Osaka that has lots of food.
The kind of food you put on a stick and fry.
This statue was common also.
Touching it's feet is good luck.
Went and saw this tower in Osaka.
After that we went and saw a cool theater that has cheap shows.
We didn't see a show but I saw a nice porn advertisement right next door.
Our next destination was a temple.
We had to walk there, it was fun.
We walked by a zoo.
We walked a while longer and got to the temple.
I thought these ogres looked cool.
Went to the top of that building, no photos allowed.
There was a part at the temple where there was a man-made pond.
Was surprised to see a few turtles swimming around in it.
We then looked at the neighboring pond.
Where the fuck did all of these turtles come from?
After this temple we left to go to a part of Osaka that I can only describe as being similar to Times Square.
Except this place was HUGE.
I mean, Times Sq only has a few blocks of flashy light up buildings.
Amy and I walked for around an hour and we never got to the end.
It was just block after block of Times Sq looking buildings.
I met a pirate.
He said he wasn't in full costume today.
What?
Found a used book store.
Found the coolest thing ever.
Let me show you my pokemons.
Bought all of them.
Then we walked next to this fun wheel thing where you could win prizes.
I was like, this seems fun.
I wish Admiral Akbar had been there...
Oh look, it's a fun wheel.
Oh hey, you win a free try at our claw machines.
I got this Evee head this. fucking. close.
I wasted about 10 dollars USD trying to get it all the way in.
God fucking damn it, those bastards. They knew this would happen.
Found a UNIQLO.
Went inside.
Had to fight every urge to buy everything.
It almost worked...
I found the Asian equivalent of the "I'm with Stupid" T-shirts.
I then helped save the world with a power ranger I met.
You're welcome.
So I found the actual Time Sq area of Osaka.
Really puts NYC to shame.
Their regular street are like Times Sq.
And now their Times Sq. even cooler.
Found the Glico guy.
Yup, it was a lot of fun.
Amy and I eventually got hungry.
Ate Takoyaki.
Then got Ramen at a Ramen store.
It was SOOOO good.
After we were done eating we walked around some more.
Found
So pretty a night.
This thing tried to eat Amy's hand.
Posting this for you Matt, Puzzles and Dragons.
Cool graffiti I found in the "America Town" part of Osaka.
Nice guy with a octopus hat.
Walked around and saw everything.
Super tired at this point.
I went back to Kyoto.
Amy went home.
Ayumi was asleep when I got back.
I passed out shortly after.
Next day I woke up late.
Ayumi took me to see Kiyomizu-dera.
Super excited.
This is what I wanted to see in Kyoto the most.
The entrance was cool.
Packed with people.
A lot of Chinese people.
Not many Americans surprisingly, (that was probably a super American thing to say).
Went into the temple. There was this thing that weighed a fuck ton.
I was similar to our Sword in the Stone story I think.
Prayed at the main part of the temple.
Then took some pictures of the great scenery.
It was sooo beautiful.
Went to the famous "Lovers" part of the temple.
People go here to get good luck in love.
I got a fortune.
It was a "Barely good fortune".
There is this rock you have to walk to from another rock with your eyes closed.
If you reach it you'll have good luck in love.
I hit like 4 people.
Ayumi helped me reach the rock in the end.
We then went to these three water stream fountain things.
You're suppose to drink from one and pray.
Depending on which on you drink from or pray to you get good luck in Love, Wealth, or Health.
Before leaving, Ayumi and I ate Dango and Macha saved ice.
After we left Kiyomizu-dera, we went to souvenir shops.
Found lots of cool stores.
Found Clip-Clop and his white brother.
Also found a studio ghibli store.
I wanted so many things from there.
Ended not buying anything.
Need to save money.
wtf...
I really wanted this picture frame...
and this clock...
Ahhhh.
Japan is so much fun.
I love it here.
Not doing anything today to save money.
Going to try and cook Ayumi food.
Eileen is worried I'll give her food poisoning.
